Below is the map showing the directions to the trail entrance on top of the hill. This same map is shown on brochure.

Map is not correct... As of March 2007 the hilltop starting point has been moved to parking lot closer to large white water tower on right side of road when you come in. New map will be updated.

Directions from Downtown Madison

1. West on Main Street (S.R.56)

2. Turn right on Cragmont Street (S.R. 7).

3. Head north 1.7 miles to four way stop Green Road.

4. Turn left on Green Road (S.R.7).

5. Head west .3 miles to Madison State Hospital entrance.

6. Turn Left into entrance.

7. Head South .6 miles to Outer Road

                     8. Turn right on Outer Road .5 miles to trail head on right.
                          Park in parking lot closest to large white water tower.
                         Trail signs are not present yet.
